It has been demonstrated that energy systems driven by conventional sources like fossil fuels are one of the main causes climate change. Organic Rankine cycles can help to reduce impact, as they be operated using industrial waste heat renewable energies. The present study presents a comprehensive bibliographic review organic cycles. not only actualizes previous reviews mainly focused on basic operating subcritical or supercritical conditions, but also includes analysis novel such two-stage and hybrid used fluids. Recuperative regenerative more efficient than reheated single-stage use makes it possible achieve higher thermal efficiencies net power outputs up 20% 44%, respectively, compared with those obtained Theoretical studies show systems, including Brayton cycles, most efficient; however, require very high temperatures operate. Most cycle plants produce from 1 kW several tens kW, microturbines plate exchangers.
